A pregnant mother-of-four who claimed sick pay from one hospital and enjoyed two holidays in Cuba while still employed by another NHS trust has avoided jail.

Sarah Oakes, 44, obtained just over £30,000 in two different scams while working as an NHS nurse.

'During her sickness her manager maintained contact and there were a number of welfare appointments which she failed to attend and while off work she provided three sick notes which were fraudulent.
