This is the moment a bungling shoplifter attempted to steal wine and sweets from a convenience store - but his knife fell out of his trousers during the raid.
The footage shows Soma Deasley, 36, stealing the goods from a OneStop in Peterborough, Cambs, and stuffing them in his backpack.
As Deasley moves on from the wine shelf, a knife can be seen falling out of his trousers and onto the floor as he puts his backpack on.
The serial shoplifter is oblivious as he grabs bars of confectionary from the shelves and walks out without paying on April 28.
A customer alerted staff to a knife on the floor of the aisle Deasley had just left and officers found him a short distance away.
