Police have cordoned off a semi-detached home in Greater Manchester after three men were arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences.

The trio, aged 35, 36 and 51, were captured during a series of dramatic overnight raids across the city yesterday.

Properties in Bolton, Great Lever, Abram and Hindley were stormed by specialist cops, who detained the three suspects on suspicion of commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.

They were all taken into custody to be quizzed by detectives.

Last night's arrests were a 'preventative move', newly re-elected Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham revealed this morning.
