A mom has been killed and her daughter left critically injured in a horrifying hit-and-run just days before Mother's Day.
Juanita Vidal, 71, was fatally struck by a car as it tried to evade police on Thursday.
Her daughter Jessica Vidal, 44, was also mown down. She was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital with serious injuries.
The collision took place at around 5pm as the women were crossing the at the intersection of Eldert Street and Knickerbocker Avenue in Brooklyn.
Surveillance footage shows a blue Mazda with Massachusetts license plates motoring through the crossing quickly followed by police.
