Republicans are launching a probe into the federal law enforcement response to 'pro-Hamas' college protests that have 'failed' to prevent threats and violence against Jewish students.

In recent weeks, thousands of students and activists have been arrested for illegally occupying college campuses across the U.S. while calling for the downfall of Israel and praising Palestinians in Gaza

At times, Jewish students have been targets of violence and have been blocked from attending classes by pro-Palestinian activists. Some Jewish students have described being afraid to be on campus and others have been told to avoid it altogether.

'Universities like Columbia that receive taxpayer-funded Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention grants from DHS must be able to uphold freedom of speech while protecting their students––especially as Jewish students have been repeatedly singled out for harassment since last October,' Green exclusively told DailyMail.com in a statement.
