A woman suffered serious injuries after two XL bullies mauled her in a vicious attack.
The 26-year-old was savaged by the powerful dogs in Leith, Edinburgh, on Thursday morning.
She was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries. Her condition is not known.
Police said the dogs had been put down. Officers remained at the scene for hours after the attack and their investigation is continuing.
Yesterday Police Scotland said they had attended the incident after ‘reports of a person having been attacked by two dogs within a property at Academy Street, Leith’. A spokesman added: ‘Emergency services attended and a 26-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by ambulance with serious injuries.
