Three persons have been arrested and will face criminal charges following a sweep on Thursday of 10 North Shore bars by local police forces.

The arrests occurred during the latest raids by officers from Laval, St-Eustache, Thérèse-De Blainville and Deux-Montagnes as part of their Synergie campaign, a year-old project aimed at increasing police visibility and reducing the possibility of violent acts at targeted venues.

The three persons arrested will face charges of assaulting a police officer, obstruction of a peace officer and violating bail conditions.

More sweeps have been scheduled for next month.
