Single mum evicted by TENANTS regains 'damaged home'

The mother who was left to sleep in her car after she bought in tenants to help her pay off her mortgage has regained her home.

The woman, named Alesha, told A Current Affair she had used Gumtree to find tenants to rent rooms in her property.

After agreeing a woman could stay in two rooms for three weeks, she left on a trip overseas only to return to allegedly find strangers living in her home.

Since the media attention the strangers have departed, but not before Alesha alleges they took furniture and attempted to barricade her out of her own home.

Footage shows bricks and a plank of wood allegedly used to stop the mother entering her own home, damaged locks, destroyed door handles and power points.

'Lot of furniture missing and the house is empty. A leather sofa and a dining table with chairs and two very good coffee tables they took,' she alleges.

She has reported the damage to the police, according to A Current Affair.
