A mother-of-two endured an agonising six-day treatment to cure an eye infection she picked up by dunking her head under holy water at a Bali temple.
Jenine Briggs, from Auckland, picked up the gruesome infection while on a week-long yoga holiday, which left her nearly blind in one eye.
During her excursion last month, she paid a visit to the Hindu Balinese water temple Tirta Empul, near the town of Tampaksiring and followed suit with other tourists by dipping her head in the temple's holy water.
