Ste-Catherine St. closes to traffic for the summer at Place des Arts and through the Gay Village. It reopens for cars in early September. Dario Ayala / Montreal Gazette

The city of Montreal announced Monday that a stretch of Ste-Catherine St. that was made a pedestrian-only area for the summer will be accessible to cars as of Thursday.

As of 7 a.m., the stretch between De Bleury and St-Dominique will be re-opened to all traffic.
