A group of West Islanders who were affected by last spring’s floods says the promised financial aid has been slow in arriving and they’re calling on all levels of government to make things right for victims.

The group says many flood victims are still struggling to renovate their homes and return home. 

A rally is planned for Saturday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at Place Grilli in Kirkland.

The organizers say the way the compensation program is set up does not meet all the needs of victims when it comes to the cleanup, decontamination and renovation of their hom
