The Fondation Village is hosting its annual barbecue fundraiser on Saturday at the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre in Dorval.
The Fondation Village is holding a “Mechoui” barbecue on Saturday at the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre in Dorval.
The barbecue begins at 5 p.m.
The barbecue is fundraiser for Fondation Village, a not-for-profit community group which raises funds to help low-income seniors on the West Island.
The Fondation Village helps seniors pay for items such as eye glasses, hearing aids and dental work.
The Fondation Village Foundation began in 2005 under the name of Fondation Donalda-Boyer. It was named after a community nurse who was well-known to Dorval residents. The Donalda-Boyer Foundation helped the Maison Donalda-Boyer (MDB), a residence for seniors located on Dorval Ave.
Tickets are $45 each and may be purchased by calling 514-631-1967.
The Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre is located at 1945 Parkfield Ave. in Dorval.
