Divers rescue woman who called 911 from sinking car

A woman called 911 from inside a sinking car after she drove into a freezing pond in Indianapolis on Sunday night.

'It's filling up. It's cold,' she said to the dispatcher from the submerging SUV.

Her car broke through an icy retention pond at about 8.30pm on New Years Eve.

When the first Indianapolis Fire Department unit arrived, they found the car about 90 percent submerged but could hear her banging on the window, according to Fox 59. 

The first diver was in the water 15 minutes later and found the car about 20 feet away from land and 12 feet underwater, according to the Indy Star.

'It's unclear as to how or why she was on the ice, but she came from a parking lot area,
