A man has been missing for four days after posting a lonely selfie from his hiking trip to a national park.

Julio Ascui, known to loved ones as Lester, shared a chilling final photo from his solo visit to Victoria's Grampians National Park on December 29 before disappearing without a trace.

Family members discovered the 50-year-old man's car parked at Halls Gap, at the corner of Stoney Creek Road and the Rosea Track, at 5pm on New Year's Eve and it is thought to have been
