Michael Wolff could net at least $7.9million from his book Fire and Fury: Inside The Trump White House
Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff could net at least $7.9million from his book detailing the wild exploits of President Donald Trump's first year in the White House.
An analysis by Bloomberg projects that through a combination of factors, the media heavyweight could earn roughly that total from his controversial book.
Neither Wolff nor his publisher, Henry Holt & Co., have given the public any detail's about his pay.
The Bloomberg analysis begins with the assumption that Wolff received a $500,000 advance and would receive 15 percent of the book's list price, described as a 'typical royalty rate'.
The book has gone on sale for $30 for hardcover copies, $15 for e-books and $28 for audio books.
So far, Bloomberg reports, the book has sold 29,000 hardcover copies, 250,000 e-book copies and 100,000 audio book copies.
