Women insulted by Salim Mehajer at Sydney's Star casino

The group of young woman insulted by Salim Mehajer outside The Star casino have revealed details about their encounter with the former politician.

Chiara Lisciotto, Neereda Elizabeth, Sara Khoshaba and Klara Youkhana were leaving the Sydney casino at 4.30am last April when they ran into Mehajer and his friends.

Mehajer appeared in court by video link from Silverwater remand prison on Thursday, testifying he 'lost his cool' when he saw Ms Lisciotto filming him.

The disgraced former Auburn deputy mayor escaped jail for smashing Ms Lisciotto's phone after flying into a rage, and attacking a taxi driver moments later.

He was put on a three-year good behaviour bond by Magistrate Valerie Swain on Thursday, who chided him for his 'lack of emotional control and anger'.
