MS-13 murder plot foiled by two minutes by traffic stop

An MS-13 gang plot to murder one of its own members was foiled at the last minute when police pulled over their car for an expired car registration.

Bryan Funes, 17, and Melquisedec Steven Lemus-Monje, 19, and a third member were driving the would-be victim from Austin to Houston, Texas, to kill him on February 11.

The El Salvadorian immigrants wanted the unnamed victim dead over drug debts along with other reasons and called their bosses to authorize the hit.
