An 11-FOOT alligator is pulled from a Florida swimming pool

An 11-foot alligator was pulled from a swimming pool in Nokomis, Florida, on Friday night.

The Sarasota Sheriff's Office arrived at a residence on the 2000 block of Tocobaga Lane after receiving reports of an 'animal problem' and discovered the large reptile taking a dip.

Video shows the creature swimming in laps around the pool and thrashing as an trapper works to secure the gator.

The alligator eventually was captured and is seen on the lawn of the home where it was found struggling against the ropes that bind it.

Homeowner Patricia Carver told WFLA that the alligator broke through her screened-in porch to enter the pool.

She said her husband woke up when he heard a loud noise coming from the porch and found the scaly creature.
