A single engine aircraft crashed 20 miles east of Port St. Lucie on Saturday The Coast Guard found the two occupants of the craft dead in the wreckage  Miami Air Control said they lost communication with the craft after the pilot said he was changing course to avoid bad weather  The names of the crash victims have not been released

Two people are reported dead after a plane crashed in the Atlantic Ocean in Southern Florida.

The single engine aircraft fell into the ocean approximately 20 nautical miles east of Port St. Lucie on Saturday, according to WPTV.  

Alarm was raised around 11:45am when the Miami Air Traffic Control Center notified the US Coast Guard of the suspected downed plane.
