Today’s London Marathon is expected to be the hottest on record, making it tougher than ever for the 47,000 runners taking part.
But one incredible competitor won’t even be able to pause for a gulp of cooling water as he tackles the gruelling 26.2-mile course, because he is unable to eat or drink using his mouth.
Gary Taylor, 46, had a tumour removed from his neck in 2016 and since the operation, takes all his food and drink via a tube going directly into his stomach.
