Manchester shopkeeper sprays WD-40 at two off-licence raiders

This is the moment a brave off-licence worker fights off armed robbers - using a can of WD-40.

The terrifying raid was the second within a month at Premier Wines on Royle Green Road in Northenden in Manchester.  

In the most recent raid, on April 22, two men entered the shop and tried to threaten the worker behind the counter.

Luckily, the shopkeeper had a can of WD-40 behind the counter and sprayed the oil at the raiders who were forced to retreat

The hooded pair, one armed with a crowbar, demanded cash and threatened the lone shopkeeper.

CCTV released by police shows one of the thugs raising the crowbar behind his head as if to strike the worker.

Footage also shows the second offender grabbing a bottle of wine from the shelf
