Kroger supplier recalls more than 35K pounds of ground beef

JBS USA is recalling 35,464 pounds of raw ground beef produced on March 22 with a sell-by date of April 9  Food Safety and Inspection Service is concerned some products may be in shoppers' freezers  USDA is urging Kroger shoppers in Virginia and Indiana to either discard or return the recalled beef to the supermarket  Meat products were sold under a dozen labels, including 'Kroger Ground Beef,' 'All Natural Laura's Beef,' and 'Private Selection Angus'

A supplier of Kroger supermarkets in Virginia and Indiana is recalling more than 35,000 pounds of raw ground beef because it could be contaminated with hard plastic. 

According to the US Department of Agriculture, the North-Carolina based company JBS USA has issued the recall, saying that ground beef produced on March 22 with a sell-by date of April 9, and sold under a variety of different labels, might contain pieces of blue plastic.
