Tom Ballard's accuser identifies himself as comedian denies allegations

A man has publicly identified himself as the comedian who accused prominent ABC personality Tom Ballard of indecent assault - which Ballard vehemently denies.

JooYung Roberts posted allegations online on Saturday about a hotel room encounter with Ballard four years ago.

In a statement, Ballard denied Mr Roberts's claims in the 'strongest terms possible', writing that he had a 'consensual sexual experience with someone'.

Mr Roberts unmasked himself in a Twitter post on Monday where he wrote: 'I am Tom Ballard's accuser.

'I understand that it can be difficult to know what to make of allegations when they come from an anonymous source... I am not afraid to be identified.'

Mr Roberts gave permission for his name to be printed and supplied a photo when approached for comment by Daily Mail Australia.

Ballard, who presents the ABC's Tonightly program, has vehemently denied the claim.
