A father is lucky to be alive after crawling on his hands and knees through a burning house to save his 13-month-old daughter's life.
Daniel Thomas ran into the blaze while his wife, Courtney, watched on as the flames engulfed the home in rural Gordonton, near Hamilton in New Zealand.
The couple, along with their three children, lived in the converted shed that went up in flames just before 5pm on June 29.

Courtney was taking care of their twin toddlers Mason and Landen while Daniel installed an air conditioning unit in their home, where young Addilyn was asleep.

Daniel had finished installing the unit and went over to the main house on the property to update Courtney on his progress.
Daniel suddenly heard the smoke detectors going off and ran outside to see that there were flames on the curtain in the house, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Courtney watched Daniel sprint back to the house, open the door,
