A woman has spoken of her horror after her nine-year-old dachshund was mauled to death on a beach by three dogs 'as their owner did nothing'.
Carol Hartnell, 45, was walking Jeffrey on Crosby Beach, Liverpool, on Tuesday night when she said he was viciously mauled by two lurchers and a Shar-Pei.
Surgical assistant, Carol, from North Wales, was also bitten on her right arm during the two minute attack.
She claims a man who owned the dogs did nothing to intervene despite her 'screaming at him to get the dogs away'.
