Teenager accused of killing mate charged with murder after body was found at ...

A teenager has faced court charged with murdering his mate and then covering up the death after the 20-year-old man's body was found on an isolated farm property.  

The 18-year-old, whose identity has been suppressed, was charged with the murder of Oliver Johnston at the Christchurch District Court on Monday.

Johnston, 20, was missing for five days when police were called to a property on Jelfs Road in Woodend, North of Christchurch, on Thursday. 

it's understood a teenage boy living on the farm told his parents there was a body wrapped inside a blanket hidden in the fields, Stuff reported.
