Sheriff's deputy 'accidentally runs over two-year-old boy in front of his home'

A sheriff’s deputy is said to have accidentally ran over a two-year-old boy with his car, leaving him bloodied and slightly burned though luckily he survived.

Authorities in Tennessee are investigating the incident, which took place on Friday night outside a home in Livingston.

An Overton County Sheriff’s deputy drove to a family home to serve a civil warrant, according to WTVF-TV.

The deputy came to the home to speak with the father, Joshua Blodgett.
