This year's Splendour In The Grass festival is being targeted by thousands of music fans who have pledged to jump the fence and enter illegally.

Desperate enthusiasts without tickets to the sold-out three-day event plan on gate-crashing the area in North Byron Parklands from this Friday.

A Facebook event page called 'Jumping Splendour 2k18' has brought together more than 3800 non-ticket holders who want to make it in no matter what.

The plan focuses on sneaking a large group of people into the festival at night.
