The Flash season four ended on a massive cliffhanger with Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin) and Iris West (Candice Patton) discovering that the mystery girl they kept on bumping into was Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy), who is their daughter from the future.
Nora then revealed to her mother and father that she had made a big mistake in coming back in time.
One of the big questions that viewers will want to be answered in the upcoming season is what her mistake was and how it’ll affect the current timeline.
However, another one is how Barry and Nora will react to meeting their daughter from the future?
Candice was at San Diego Comic-Con where she spoke about the challenges of playing a mother and how that’s given her character, Iris, so many questions.
"Well, I mean just for me as an actor it's always nice to do something new which is something our show affords each of us there's always something interesting and new and different to play with every season, but for Iris yeah, it's facing this idea that you've got a daughter from the future who has come back to visit you and why?" Patton told ComicBook.com.
She continued: ”Why would she be back? And the strange thing is that she's very much in love with her father and she has some tension with her mother which Iris doesn't really understand or doesn't really get why."
Candice had previously spoken about how Nora and Barry will be closer than Iris and Nora and that there is some tension in her relationship with her newfound daughter.
