Will Britain be blanketed by SNOW in October?

The Met Office has confirmed to Express.co.uk there is no heavy snow forecast for October.

But there may be a light dusting on the tops of the highest mountains in northern Scotland.

But Ladbrokes are confident snow will fall somewhere in the UK this month. 

They have slashed their odds from 6/4 to 10/11. 

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "With temperatures soon set to plunge, punters are seemingly confident in October snow."

The Met Office’s forecast today is for northern parts of the UK to be wet and windy. 

Temperatures in Manchester will average around 13C, while Glasgow will be slightly cooler at 12C. 

Meanwhile, parts of the south should be warmer and cloudy.

London will see temperatures of 18C, but there will be a bigger chill in the air in Cornwall as it will peak at 14C.
