Mexico attracts hordes of holidaymakers flocking to its beautiful beaches and incredible history - but a sinister side to one of the most popular tourist spots has emerged.
Puerto Vallarta is one of Mexico’s most alluring resorts, known for its beaches, water sports and nightlife. It attracts millions of tourists each year.
However, a series of horrible crimes is now sweeping the country in what could be part of gang violence.
The shocking incidents have seen a group of people abducted, stripped and tied naked to lampposts.

Horrifying photo evidence shows the naked men’s bottoms to be red raw and a large letter ‘R’ shaved into the back of their heads.
This ‘R’ could possibly refer to the colloquial Spanish word for “rat” or “thief” - “ratero.”
Local police were called to help free the men in six different sectors in Puerto Vallarta.
Police have opened an investigation into the crimes after confirming the incidents last week.
However, they have not revealed how many people were involved, although local media say there are at least 10 cases.
Worryingly, the victims have proved unwilling to talk about what happened to them.
