Pointless continued last night as four pairs battled it out to win the trophy and the jackpot. But one particular contestant made a bit of a blunder meaning they unfortunately hit an incorrect answer. In the first round about notable people, the first clue read: “Senior police officer appointed the first female commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.” It was accompanied by the initials “C” and “D”. However, contestant Billy seemed to forget how to pronounce her name. Explaining he knew the answer, he said: “Caressa Dick”. Alexander Armstrong appeared to flicker a smile across his face as he registered the innuendo but continued professionally. Turning towards the board, he asked the Pointless gods to reveal Billy’s score. However, it was sadly pointless as contestants have to pronounce the exact answer correctly.
