Dipi (played by Sharon Johal) was attacked by Gary Canning (Damien Richardson) on Neighbours, but the Ramsay Street resident soon regretted his actions.
Gary had intended to teach Kev McNally (Troy Davis) a lesson after the conman made the Ramsay Street resident his delivery driver to carry out his dodgy deeds on the Channel 5 soap.
Wanting to quit his role in the first instance, Gary was left panicked when he stumbled across some stolen goods in his coffee hut, realising he had been set up.
However, his actions to turn the tables on Kev will see him get his comeuppance when Dipi’s husband Shane Rebecchi (Nicholas Coghlan) learns the truth next week.
After putting her in hospital, Gary tries to make peace with Dipi by calling round to her home with a peace offering of desserts.
The two discover they have a shared passion for baking, with Gary calling round the next day to give Dipi recipe book.
However, Gary comes face-to-face with Shane and soon becomes the victim as the hot-headed husband lashes out at his wife’s attacker.
As Gary falls to the ground in the middle of the street, Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond) stops Shane from going any further.
Amy later helps Gary with his injuries, which the coffee hut owner takes as a possible reunion with his former lover.
Though Amy tells Gary she cannot forgive him for what he did to Dipi and for betraying her trust, but can he win her over?
