Kym Marsh, 42, is set to star in explosive scenes this year but the actress has now revealed whether she will be on the ITV soap, Coronation Street for the long-term. In this week’s OK! Magazine she told the publication: “Career-wise I’d like to stay at Corrie. “There’s lots of drama in the new year, including a collapse in the underwear factory and there are reports that a much-loved character dies.” However the star remained tight-lipped on who will see their demise on the soap but admitted she did not want it be her “work besties” Alison King who plays Carla Connor or Antony Cotton who plays Sean Tully.
Kym added: “I’d hate it to be either of my work besties, Alison King and Antony Cotton.”
It came after show producer Iain MacLeod told the press, including Express.co.uk about how they have big plans for the soap.
He said: “We’re knocking the factory down in March in a colossal big stunt.
“At first it will appear to be an accident, but then it’ll be revealed to have been some kind of criminal enterprise that has cause the roof to fall in.
“This is a community story - everyone is out of a job, so they’ll be lots of lifestyle and financial stories spinning out from this story.”
