AJ, 24, will be joined by his Strictly Come Dancing 2018 partner Lauren, 25, when the BBC show begins its nationwide arena tour in the coming weeks.
Following an attack on the professional dancer and his brother Curtis, 22, last Friday, the pair spoke on This Morning about their ordeal.
Having reflected on the horrendous attack, show hosts Eamonn Holmes, 58, and his co-host Ruth Langsford, 58, surprised the dancer.
In a short video, Lauren was heard offering support to her partner, reassuring him he had everyone’s support.
You two are so strong
Ruth told AJ: “Talking about the tour, you’re doing that with your partner Lauren, she was very worried about you and she sent you little message this morning.
Appearing on screen, Lauren began her video by saying: “Hi guys. I know you’ve been through a really tough timeout everybody is behind you.
“You two are so strong. Let’s move forward.
“You’re both amazing and everyone is behind you. See you soon,” she stated before AJ returned to the screen.
Before Lauren’s appearance, AJ had been speaking how the attack has made him fearful about approaching crowds prior to the Strictly tour.
Asked by Ruth if he has become fearful about going out, he replied: “It’s made me very aware of putting myself in a scenario of larger crowds.”
