Many people throughout history have claimed to know the date of the second coming, only to be proven wrong. Although the Bible does not reveal an exact date of Christ's return, it does provide some insight into what we can expect. A number of passages flat-out reveal he will return, while others detail what can be expected in the days leading up to Judgement Day.
In Matthew 24, Jesus himself reveals he will return in the future.
He says: “And then shall appear the sign of the son of man in Heaven.
"And then shall all the tribes of the Earth mourn and they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and glory.”
Then, in Timothy 4:1,2, we are told that Jesus will return with his father to judge all.
It reads: “In the presence of God and of Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out, correct, rebuke and encourage.”
