‘Ultra rare’ Jeremy Fisher 50p selling for £522 – is it really worth this much?

An eBay user is selling a 50p Jeremy Fisher coin for a staggering £522. The rare coin was part of the Beatrix Potter collection issued in 2017, and is one of the coins from the collection that collectors have become obsessed with. The eBay user, whose profile name is tealy8811, has a 100 per cent feedback rating. They have listed the coin with the buy it now option as well as accepting bids.

Keen collectors could have the rare coin by Tuesday 8th January if they snap it up soon.

Adding just two pictures on the listing, the 50p appears to be in good condition.

They wrote in the product description:”Very good condition. Collectors item.”

With a mintage of 9,700,000, the Jeremy Fisher scarcity index is level eight according to Change Checker.
