Jane Danson, who has played Leanne Battersby on-and-off in Coronation Street since 1997, has opened up about splitting her time. The actress is currently gearing up for the first instalment of Dancing On Ice 2019 this weekend, which she is training for alongside filming the long-running ITV drama. The 40-year-old said she was managing just fine juggling Corrie with rehearsals and looking after her two sons. However, she remembered a more difficult time in her career eight years ago, saying it “almost broke” her.
It almost broke me, but I got through it
Speaking to the latest issue of OK! Magazine, Jane spoke about her workload in a joint interview with her husband Robert Beck, 50.
She started: “When we did Coronation Street Live back in 2010, our youngest Sam was really young and he didn’t sleep at all.”
The small screen star continued: “We did a month of night shoots and then went straight into the live episodes and it almost broke me, but I got through it.
“This is exhausting but not on that level, so whenever I feel exhausted I refer back to then!”
When asked how many hours a week she dedicates to practicing on the ice, Jane went on: “At least 10 hours.
“Mainly at a rink in Altrincham, which is near to where Sylvain [Longchambon, 38] and I both live.
