Bob, real name Stewart, is reported to have passed away at his home after a recent cancer diagnosis. After the news of his death emerged, many of his Curb Your Enthusiasm co-stars have sent their condolences on Twitter. Richard Lewis tweeted: “I’m in shock. I knew him forever. “His role on #curbyourenthusiasm was excruciatingly brilliant!
“Our cast and crew will be devastated. He was so loved.
“He told me how much he loved LD and Curb. RIP buddy.”
The show’s writer David Mandel also reflected on his time with the late star.
He wrote: “Very sad. Got to work with him on #Curb.
“Had heard he was sick. Will never forget him telling @jerryseinfeld the dirty joke about the newlyweds.”
Bob is widely known to audiences as Marty Funkhouser on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
