Audrey (Sue Nicholls) discovered she had been conned out of money by the late Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers) on tonight’s Coronation Street continuation. Nick Tilsley (Adam Rickitt) took a call from his financial advisor who explained he had some urgent news for Audrey. Audrey had switched her phone off following the death of Lewis, but later called the financial advisor on Nick’s request and fainted. Gail Platt (Helen Worth), David (Jack P. Shepherd), Nick and Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) gathered around as Audrey admitted all the money from Archie Shuttleworth (Roy Hudd) had been stolen from her account.
