High blood pressure is a common condition that affects more than 25 per cent of all adults in the UK. Sunflower seeds are a great source of magnesium, which may reduce your blood pressure, said nutritionist Joy Bauer.
Magnesium works by dilating blood vessels, and subsequently easing the flow of blood through the blood vessels.
