#TheGreatestDancer: BREXIT mentions leave BBC viewers fuming:

However, The Greatest Dancer didn’t get off to a great start with audiences after BBC bosses wedged in intentional Brexit references to rock the boat where they weren’t needed as part of yet another entertainment show.

First up, viewers saw KLA Dance Institute, an all-girl formation group from Wales take to the stage.

Oti Mabuse, the stand-out star of tonight’s show, even joined the troupe on stage for a Cha-Cha after the group made it through to the callbacks.

Needing to secure 75 per cent audience approval before the stage doors would open, several clips showed audience members comparing the vote to the Brexit referendum.

I tell you, the public has got it wrong. It’s Brexit part two

BBC audience member on The Greatest Dancer

One audience member, who was wearing a microphone, was focused on by the production team to say: “Voting on this was so much harder than voting on Brexit.”

Next, a classical ballet dancer from Kazakhstan named Yassaui took to the stage but unfortunately failed to make it through to the next stage of the contest.

The competitor reached just 73 per cent, but required 75 per cent to qualify.

The BBC then focussed on another member of the audience with a microphone who said: “I tell you, the public has got it wrong. It’s Brexit part two.”

Furious viewers instantly took to social media, with one tweeting: “If #TheGreatestDancer mentions Brexit one more time I’m changing channels. #TGD.”

“How many times they gonna mention brexit in this programme ffs #thegreatestdancer,” posted another.

A third wrote: “There we go. Just when you thought you were safe, some gobsh**e mentions #Brexit on #TheGreatestDancer.”
