So, the calf, unfortunately, is dead

He got to see first-hand the challenges vets face while treating a range of animals.

However, one segment left viewers heartbroken when Adam met vet Will who was called out to try and save the life of a cow and her unborn calf.

Unfortunately, despite trying to breach the calf and performing a “gruesome” emergency caesarean section, it wasn’t to be.

The scene saw the vet cut through the muscle and skin of the cow with a scalpel while it was having contractions.

The calf was found to be upside down and required a huge effort to pull the calf out.

Once out on the ground, it was clear to vet Will that there were no signs of life, with Will announcing: “No, dead calf.”
