How To Lose Weight Well continues on Channel 4 tonight with the fourth episode of the series. In the episode two women took on two crash diet to lose weight, the potato diet and the cabbage soup diet. Caroline, tries the potato diet, eating nothing but spuds for the entire week. Mother-of-two Charmaine is on the cabbage soup diet.

What is the potato diet?

This diet is simple, those follow it can only eat potatoes.

One man who ate this diet for a year lost an amazing 8.4 stone.

He told in a Youtube video how ate potatoes for every meal, every day with just a sprinkle of herbs or chilli. It is said that dieters can lose up to 10lbs in a week on this diet plan.

There are some rules however. Caroline is told she is allowed to eat potatoes in any form except chips, plus only one tablespoon of oil is to be used a day.

Caroline is hoping to lose a stone in a week, but is an admitted foodie, with a particular love of melted cheese.

Starting of at 12 stone 4 lbs, Charlotte is on a food group isolation diet, as is Charmaine.

An interview in tonight’s programme also revealed a trick you could use to eat less in one sitting - although it might be messy.
