Silent Witness starts its 2019 season tonight (Tuesday, January 8) at 9pm on BBC One. Emilia Fox will lead the cast of Silent Witness series 22 as Dr Nikki Alexander, as she has every year since 2004. The BBC’s longest-running crime drama, Silent Witness 2019’s cast will also include David Caves as Jack Hodgson, Liz Carr as Clarissa Mullery and Richard Lintern as Dr Thomas Chamberlin.
Silent Witness is lead by four main team members of the Lyell Centre who will appear in all 10 episodes of the procedural. They are:
Dr Nikki Alexander - Emilia Fox
Forensic pathologist Nikki Alexander has been a feature of Silent Witness since 2004.
The character is played by Emilia Fox, who made her TV debut in the beloved BBC version of Pride of Prejudice from 1995 and has also appeared in The Wrong Mans, Merlin and Delicious.
Jack Hodgson - David Caves
Jack Hodgson, the team’s lone wolf forensic scientist, has been in Silent Witness for the last six years.
David Caves, who plays Jack, has also appeared in films like Jackie and Ironclad: Battle For Blood.
