Iain Duncan Smith insisted a Brexit no deal has already gone through Parliament during a clash on Channel 4 News. Presenter Jon Snow claimed the former leader of the Conservative Party has “not got a no deal” going through the Commons, sparking a swift response. He said: “Iain Duncan Smith, truth to tell, you have not got a no deal going through Parliament have you?”
Mr Duncan Smith replied: “Well actually no deal has already gone through Parliament, that’s the point.
“The bill that was passed, the vote that was passed after the referendum and the Article 50 letter all had an end date to it.
“The bill that we passed to leave is very clear, we leave, the arrangements to how we leave are between the Government of the time and the EU.
“The agreement they have got at the moment clearly doesn’t look like it has got the majority but we will see what the Government comes back with any changes.
