The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first royal baby, with the child expected to arrive this spring. Prince Harry’s sister-in-law Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband, Prince William are unlikely to handed the honour of godmother when the royal baby arrives. Meghan and Harry are not godparents to any of William and Kate’s three children Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3 and 8-month-old Prince Louis.
Kate and William's decision could be because as royal correspondent Robert Johnson once said Prince Harry, uncle to the Cambridge’s three children "will have a role" in their lives anyway.
And the same could be said for Kate and William as they become aunt and uncle to Meghan's royal baby.
Instead these potential friends and family could take up the role when baby Sussex is christened.
Meghan’s best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney and husband Ben have been tipped to be in the running, following the family being invited to Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding in May last year.
