Xbox One fans have been left hoping Microsoft has one big plan in the works for the next-gen Scarlett console.

Microsoft has already revealed that their next-gen Xbox is in the works with rumours of a number of different models being prepared.

It’s been claimed that there will be two different versions of the Scarlett, with an Xbox One S style model and a beefier build like the Xbox One X.

These next-gen consoles are expected to launch in 2020 while Microsoft is also rumoured to be working on a disc-less Xbox One.

This, according to a post by Thurrott, will launch in 2019 and will cost $200 (£155) or less.

As rumours about the Scarlett swirl fans have been left hoping Microsoft will make a move that could give them a major advantage in the next console wars.

This week huge gaming news was revealed as it was announced Activision and Bungie were parting ways after eight years together.

The publishing rights for Destiny will transfer from Activision to Bungie with the studio “ready to publish on [their] own”.

However, Microsoft fans have been left hoping that the Xbox makers will try to acquire Bungie now they’re parting ways with Activision.

The two parties have history, with Bungie’s breakthrough hit Halo one of the launch titles on the original Xbox.

Bungie was acquired by Microsoft in 2000 and during seven years released acclaimed hits like Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST and Halo Reach.
