Much of the country can expect light rain, particularly southern England, Wales and Scotland. The heaviest snow is likely over the Scottish Highlands and Shetland, but it will extend to lower areas. Sunday evening will see the weather turn colder, with frost expected for the northern and eastern areas.
Met Office meteorologist Luke Miall said: “We’ll continue to see strong winds as we go through Sunday.
“For Scotland we’ve got some blustery showers moving in on fairly brisk winds, some heavier ones in places.
“Brighter skies coming into Northern Ireland, northern parts of England but quite murky over the Welsh mountains and the moors of southwest England.”
Southern England will see some sunshine early on, but it will cloud over during the morning with some rain showers likely.
