Jacob Rees-Mogg enjoys EUROPEAN BREAK two days ahead of meaningful vote

The Tory MP for North East Somerset is one of the fiercest pro-Brexit MPs in the House of Commons and strongly advocates leaving the EU without a deal, arguing “there is nothing to fear”. Mr Rees-Mogg is also one of the leading voices in Britain speaking against Theresa May’s Withdrawal Agreement, which will be voted on in Parliament on Tuesday. Just last week he crushed her hopes to be backed by hard Brexiteers part of the European Research Group, of which he is the chair, saying there are “no arguments in favour of the deal”.

But while chaos and uncertainty sweep Britain, Mr Rees-Mogg isn’t in his constituency or in Westminster. He flew to the Czech Republic to celebrate his 12th wedding anniversary with wife Helena de Chair.

The MP has been photographed in a double-breasted jacket with gold buttons walking around Wenceslas Square, where in 1969 student Jan Palace set himself on fire during the freedom protests known as Prague Spring.

The backbencher took to Instagram to explain the reason behind his European break.
